How was the wedding:

The big day surpassed all of my expectations

We had an early start at the salon, 7.30am! Not fun after a sleepless night due to the excitement! I went to my usual salon, the Glamour Lounge and they did a brilliant job on everyone's hair and makeup. Everyone was amazed at what they managed to do with my short bob. Just because you have short hair it doesn't mean you can't have the princess hair!

Drove myself to the venue and tried to relax in my little room, was starting to get very nervous and just wanted to start getting ready.

The registrars came to check all the details were ok and went through the order of the ceremony and I started to well up, really trying to hold it together now.

Then it was time for my Dad to come and get me.. he came into the room and saw me, promptly burst into tears and had to leave the room to compose himself ! I'll never forget that moment.

Finally it was time to walk down the aisle ! Never been so nervous in all my life, I didn't hear any of the music, didn't see anyone even though I was trying to look at everyone and practically RAN down the aisle!

The ceremony was short and sweet and we were finally married YAY !

Then I started to enjoy myself, we had mulled wine as a reception drink which was lovely and then it was photos time... The rain managed to hold off but I was freezing cold !

Was very relieved when it was time to sit down for food.

This was lovely, sitting at the top table being able to see all our family and friends enjoying themselves... the food itself was delicious !

Then it was the speeches, My Dad did really well, he's not very good at public speaking at all but he got through his speech ok. My big brother also made a speech which I know isn't usual but he flew all the way from Japan to be there and he wanted to say a few words. His speech was funny and also very moving. Then came my Husband's speech... well... he had the room in tears. I never knew he could be so emotional! .. Was funny in bits as well. Best Man's speech was brilliant .. enjoyed them all!

Bit of relax time then the evening disco kicked off ... we cut the cake ( I could just about reach the top cake !) and had our first dance ..Have you Met Miss Jones ( the Robbie Williams cover ). He used to sing it to me and change Jones to Long.

Everyone started dancing, the DJ was superb! ... He carried on with the swing music for a while and then moved onto rock... I was doing air guitar in my dress!! ... Then he put some dance stuff on and the dancefloor was bouncing .. it was amazing ... James came up to me whilst I was dancing and shouted ' THIS IS OUR WEDDING ! ' Everyone was ripping up the dancefloor at our wedding ... It was brilliant

We took 5 mins out together on the mezzanine floor and it was lovely to see so many of our family and friends having such a good time. Everyone needs to do this ! Everyone told us we should and I'm so glad we did

Then it finally came to an end ( boooo !! ) and I'm sad to say I was sooo tired after an early start we had to have the official consumation the next day lol!

Been married just over a week now and I really want to have our day over and over again, I want to be dancing in my dress again and have everyone around us. Treasure your special day because it goes in the blink of an eye

Our photographer ( Raymond Lin Photography ) was outstanding, was with me from 7.30 in the morning right up until the disco finished
Gourmet Cupcakes made looovely cakes, she missed off the glitter sprinkle I had ordered but that was the only thing on the day that went wrong
PianoDJ was brilliant for the music, we had the pianist for the day then the best DJ ever for the evening
Polka Fashions did my dress and all of my bridesmaids dresses... superb service and everyone commented on how wonderful everything looked
