Built originally in the mid 1800’s as a hunting lodge, the Balmer Lawn is a classic Country House Hotel set in the very heart of the New Forest National Park. Undoubtedly one of the most iconic buildings in the New Forest National Park!

As a Wedding Coordinator at Balmer Lawn, I will be on hand to help you plan every aspect of your day from bouquet to banquet. Nothing will be too much trouble to ensure that you have the wedding of your dreams.

Wedding facilities
Whether your wedding is a small intimate occasion or a large family gathering, formal or informal we have the experience, the expertise and facilities you require.

We can cater for weddings of any size with two wedding suites, The Savernake catering up to 60 guests, and the Beaulieu and Hamble rooms catering up to 110 guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 200 guests for your evening function.

Ceremonies
The Balmer Lawn is licensed for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships. The hotel offers a choice of beautiful settings for your ceremony with rooms suitable for 10 to 100 guests.

Our dedicated wedding coordinator will ensure that she has all your specific requirements and will usually be on hand to help and assist on the day.

One of our extremely knowledgeable Functions Managers will see you through your entire day. Quietly and calmly the team will ensure that your wedding day goes as smoothly as possible leaving you worry free and with nothing but fond memories.

We do not offer set packages and are very flexible, so you can make your day exactly what you want.. Our wedding coordinator will sit down with you and personally tailor your special day to ensure your wedding is truly memorable.

We have a wonderful selection of delicious menus to choose from, formal three course meals, tempting buffets, canapés and barbeques. Should you have a special dish in mind our talented Chef will help create a special menu just for you.

You can party on late in to the evening with various entertainments from bands, casinos, magicians or even a chocolate fountains to keep your guest amused!

Food
Beresford’s Restaurant at the Balmer Lawn
With an AA rosette for Fine Dining recognising the skill and flair of our talented kitchen brigade, you will be guaranteed an unforgettable dining experience. Combined with the fantastic food prepared by our chefs, our stylish traditionally comfortable restaurant offers the very highest standards of food, service and fine wines. At the weekend you can relax and enjoy your meal in Beresfords with the serene sounds of our live entertainment.

On the Terrace
The terrace to the front of the hotel is a delightful area to enjoy a meal or drink. During the summer period (weather permitting) Beresford’s has its own designated dining area. Our three 5m parasols offer heat and light and extend the time you can enjoy the delights of dining outside.

Rooms
A delightful 4 star Country House Hotel with many rooms having stunning views over the New Forest. In total, 53 en-suite rooms, with enough range to suit all requirements from leisure guests and families to business travellers.
