As I am going to become Mrs Gemma Mary NISTORICA-DAVID (pronounced Nis-tor-ee-ca - Da-vid) I thought I would share my unusual future surname with you all and ask those of you who will also have one what yours will be?? Already had our wedding reception venue spell it on a letter as NISTONCA!!! lol

I'll be Julia Parascandolo rather than Julia Stanbridge. I was on (another) training course today and they spelt Stanbridge wrong (again!!). It was also spelled wrong initially by the registrar... I have no hope in the future. I share your pain!!

Allpress. Nobody can pronounce it correctly when they first hear or read it . We get all sorts like Al - priest, Al - press, Allpreoo?? lol When I call for a taxi they say " Audrey?" Even now spellcheck is telling me that this is not a name from the english dictionary!!

I'll become Mrs Anna Trubel (like true-bell) which is slightly better than Verner - people normally spell it Verna, Verma, Kerner, Kerna etc., some can't even get my first name right lol. Mind you it's still better than my mum's, her maiden name translated means Witty, so she couldn't wait to get married so she could change it and even after the divorce from my dad 25 years ago, she never changed it back - can't blame her really ;)
One of my mum's friends' maiden name was Susan Taylor and she married a man with the surname Taylor, so now, you guessed it, her name is Mrs Susan Taylor-Taylor. What's the point of that???

I'll be Becky beale which I think sounds horrendous I am currently Becky Harris. My cousins surname was blower and they named their 1st son William! He took his wife's name to save their son too much embarrasment, I am tryin to persuade htb to do the same but he says will be too confusing as he is called Richard same as my dad.

My current surname is Blaikie - you have now idea how many times I have been called Gemma Blankey, Blackey, Blake, etc etc etc lol It's really not gonna get any easier with my future surname.... Ciprian already pronounces it Nistrorica (Nis-tor-i-ka David) to make it easier for people. I wanted to shorten it to Gemma David for work but people might get confused....

I'm gonna be a Bonifacio pronounced Bon-ee-farr-chio which no one can ever say unless they know a bit of Italian. I have a rare name now but it's said as it reads, little bit sad i'm not gonna be an Askell anymore, there are so few of us as it is.
