Any February weddings, what's your theme?

missmaxine  im getting married feb 11th 2012 but i dont have a theme as such ive just picked the colours yellow and royal blue. and daffodils and crochus (cant spell)

fabulousfebruary  I'm getting married on February 24 (eeek! Not fair off) but like @missmaxine I haven't actually got a standout theme. It's kind of centered around my dress and a very light pink rose which is on it and an English garden inspiration. So I am collecting coffee jars and turning them into tealight lanterns for the tables, making my own stationary by using petal paper with a very dark purple background, having big open fires and lots of green foliage. Kind of bringing the outside inside.

stbmrscooper  im getting married the 13th of feb as i wasnt able to get the date i wanted sadly im doing liverpool fc colours as im a bit bossy and only left the colour of our wedding for my partner to do

My moh wanted it to be winter themed, what with it been a winter wedding, but I'm not really into that. Everything will be in white, silver and royal blue, with no theme, and I won't even state a dress code (if anyone shows up in jeans and t-shirt it's ok with me).

jezibella83  @fabulousfebruary we're having open fires too & are also bringing the outside in. Here are some pictures of a beautiful tree design I saw on a florist's stall at the National Wedding Show in Earl's Court, I thought about having it at my wedding, it's rather quite expensive at £550 BUT I won't have many other flowers around the venue and can hang little tea lights from the twigs;

natsalot  @missmaxine I'm al so getting married on the 11th Feb but in South Africa so it will be warm (my H2B is from Johannesburg).

Our theme is Mad Hatters Tea Party as I love tea and cake ans he loves hats. We've tried to steer away from Alice on Wonderland and focus on everything being brightly coloured and quirky , we've also asked our guests to arrive with some form of headgear.. a fascinator, baseball cap, free Guinness hat - we don't care as long as it's fun.

Attached is a pic of my bridesmaid dresses which are also my main colours.

@jezibella83 Those flower arrangements are stunning, so elegant and almost magical. Have you taken a photo you your local florist to see how much it would cost to re-create?

jezibella83  @natsalot Wow, I love your theme. Your bridesmaid dresses are bright, tropical & almost carnival like.

I haven't taken those photos to my florist yet but am going to arrange to see her in February, a year before the big day x
