Bad reviews for Berketex again

jo101280  @tassarella totally agree, people are so insenstive and uncaring these days. I really did feel sorry for this poor girl, it would be my worst nightmare. Ive heard a few bad reports about Berketex. Ive been into the Nottingham branch with my sister in law (this was a few months back) to look for BM dresses for her wedding, the service wan't the best and the staff didn't seem overly interested, needless to say, we didn't have around for long and went elsewhere. When your spending the kind of money you are doing on your wedding dress and accesories you expect the service to be of a high standard don't you? I think a lot can be said for using the smaller more independent Bridal shops.

rosslyn80  how bad is that. they should be ashamed of themselves, thats no way 2 treat a customer and as 4 their 'gestures of goodwill' i would have told them where 2 stick them xx

ajb2b  Would just like to add to this my complete and utter satisfaction with berketex they have been wonderful to me! and I feel most anxiety I have had has been from articles like this rather than any actual events involving my dress. I think that because berketex is such a big company there will always be some bad reviews, smaller companies proabably just dont get the same amount of press. As many of you may know I moved my wedding forward by a year, I'm getting married in 2 weeks and my dress only arrived last week. Understandably I was in a bit of a panic! Head office and the store were fantastic and The week my dress arrived I was getting called daily to let me know it's exact location etc. And the day it arrived I was greeted by a huge hug from the store manager who obviously cared almost as much as I did. I was so touched and so happy with the whole experience!

tassarella  I agree with @ajb2b that a lot of berketex's bad press will be because they are a large chain and some stores will not always meet the standards that they should. I feel very sorry for this woman though and am glad that an independent seamstress was able to help her.

What I really find disgusting is the peoples attitude towards this girl on the comments section of the news article. They assume because she is young that her father has paid for her wedding, that she is getting married for the sake of having a wedding and that she is some sort of bridezilla. I don't know if any of that is true but it is certainly not a good representation of the majority of brides I have spoken to or know.

isobellaj  I'm in the early stages of planning my wedding, but my friend who's wedding is this February coming, has ordered her dress from Berketex in Liverpool and they were so amazing with her, i went to all her fittings and the dress is gorgeous, the price is unbelievably good for the amazing quality of the dress. And the girls in the shop were so nice! I'm definitely going to make an appointment when i go shopping for my dress. Everyone else i have spoken to on other forums has good experiences too. Obviously every bride wants to look perfect on their wedding day and she may have not liked their service but I just had a quick look through the article and it does sound like she is exaggerating a bit! - Just my opinion!

seckerette  Hello. I am a happy berketex bride to be! I got worried after researching them AFTER stumping up he cash for my dress but they have been nothing but lovely with me. From choosing the dress, paying and now aving fittings. The only annoying thing is that you can only have fittings on one specified day which is not very helpful.! x
