Hi all, i'm getting married on the 24th October at the Alion beach hotel in Cyprus this year. Was just wondering if anyone else has or is getting married at this hotel or in Cyprus. Would love some ideas about what happens on the day, what order things are meant to go it. At the moment all our planning has come to a halt until numbers are confirmed. I feel like i'm in limbo at the moment!! Also what kind of wedding favours would be good for Cyprus, don't really want to do sweets & chocolate will melt. Any ideas on anything would be greatly appreciated.

My cousin got married in cyprus about 4/5 year ago they had a fab time and couldnt fault the hotel, not sure which one it was. But pictures they got back were amazin! sunset etc

Thats a lovely hotel. We went over to Cyprus last April to check out some of the hotels & we looked at that one. Love the beach!! We are still waiting for the RSVP's to come back but could be about 25 people, mostly family. How about you, how many do you have coming out? What time are you getting married? we are getting married at 2pm but i'm getting a little worried about how the day is going to go. I think there will be about 2 hours where people will have nothing to do. Dinner isn't till 6.30 & even that time has been brought forward. I love watching all the wedding programes at the moment. There is a new one on watch about greek weddings, loving it!! xx

lol - we are getting married in Cypurs too and @oliviahouston we must have watched the same episode of Four Weddings because that was the first thing I said to H2B "we are having fans" such a lovely and practical idea lol xx

jayneejayne@blondiechessum - we are getting married in Coral Bay at the Coral Beach Hotel - can't wait!! xx We aren't getting married until 3-4pm and then photos and evening meal around 6 I think - will check our comfirmation

Coral bay is lovely, i haven't been there for years!! Love the beach. We can't get our wedding moved to later on in the day, i guess thats because of the other guests. I just don't want my guests to be bored while we wait till dinner. Are you going to do something with your guests the next day @jayneejayne?

jayneejayne@blondiechessum We aren't doing anything the next day but planning a party at our Villa the day before and a few days after the wedding - also planning a day out at the water park in Paphos as a few of our guests are bringing children - going to look into a few more activities but also don't want to take too much of their time up as its their holidays too :0) - why don't you ask the hotel if they can provide cocktails etc or maybe take this time for the photographer to get all of your pics?? xx sooo exciting

oliviahouston@kay1025jj my sister in laws sister got married there a few years ago and loved it! they had the cermoney on a area near the poor then they went to a local resurant for receptions! they had a amazin time!! i am gettin married in adams beach which is ment to be quite close to your hotel xx
I am also getting married in cyprus in paphos i found this website specialens. com/ It gives you all the information on wedding photographers in cyprus ! we found our photographer on here !! hope it helps u !!
