DIY Wedding Photo Books?

tinks1985  i too can recommend snapfish! They are brilliant and while i've never had a photo album from them all the prints i have received have been wonderful. They're really reasonably priced too which just makes it even better

klt02  Snapfish or photobox i def recommend. i use them both (more photobox) on a regular basis. Facebook always have offers on too!

gina130284  Hiya hun I have a similar dilemma with photos!! As part of our wedding package we get a photographer but no photos. It is $999 for all the photos on disc which we're not prepared to pay either.

Instead we are spending a few hundred pounds on a decent camera and H2B's brother is taking our photos on the day. We're then going to do a photo book so we get to choose our own photos, and maybe have our wedding song / first dance song written throughout. This way we spend maybe £400 and get photos and the camera to keep.

Why dont you join Groupon - they always have deals on photobooks. Im praying they still have them for our wedding next year!! xx

meeeshel  I made a PhotoBox one for our Barbados hol and it's fab! My brother and his wife did all of their albums like this too. X

lollyjane  @cicmatag I used Bob Books to make a holiday photobook for H2B and it was great. You can chose so many different layouts and it is really easy to use. You can also annotate photos. Really good quailty and great service. We bought a voucher for H2B's brother last month for his holiday photos and he was really please with the results too. Not bad pricing either - you can chose the number of pages and size of the book to suit your budget.

As another idea (which I haven't used myself yet so can't vouch for quailty) but if you are anyone you know has a Mac, they have photo software which allows you to edit your photos and create a photo book. I had a peak at the one in the shop when we bought our Mac and it look pretty good. Again you can chose layouts and sizes to suit you budget, and if you already have the photos on a disc from your photographer this could be a pretty simple option x

mrscoops  @cicmatag this is going to sound really geeky but I was watching the Gadget Show and they did a top ten of companies doing these books with regards to quality and price and the one they recommended at number one was a company called albelli. I haven't personally used them but I wrote down the name so I could use it when it comes to getting our photos printed x

cicmatag  @mrscoops thanks I'll have a look. I thought they only tested gadgets on that show (like 3-wheeled bikes and flying ipods etc), not websites lol x

mrscoops  @cicmatag so did I! H2b watches it and I usually ignore it but for once it had something I could class as wedding related on it! X

heggy  Hi! I got married in Aug and we decided not to pay the photographer to do our photo book- either we could pay for it later or do it ourselves! My husband has done a couple of photobooks for holidays so he did it using the Jessop's website and software. The finished item looks fantastic! We did an expensive, hardbacked, large version for us for £80 and then some smaller and cheaper versions for family. Would highly reccomend it. Again, you can always change your mind after the wedding!

becky260512  We are going to use a groupon deal and make our own after the wedding I am looking for one with a long enough expiry but their hasnt been one yet.
