what type/kind of cameras are people using for their DIY photobooth. I really really want one but it is way out of our budget. Just looking for some ideas from you lovely ladies

@baldwin2bconnolly hmm I'm sure I've read from the likes of @meeeshel @jen150912 and others that they are using a range - some thinking of polaroid cameras, others disposable ones, or I think Jen was considering using her own digital camera?
I love this idea so did a quick google search and these sites looked really interesting:

I think it also depends on what works best for you and what you feel comfortable with and get - I think a digital camera sounds the easiest xx

I'd be tempted to go for disposable in case it gets broken or even stolen!! Horrible thought I know but lets be honest do we know every single person attending our wedding and 100% trust them?? The only way around having a decent camera would be to have someone taking the photos at all times but thats not really fair.

I think we'll be using one of our older digital cameras (not worth to be stolen) on a tripod. We were considering disposable ones but then you're limited to 24 or 36 photos per camera and (and also everyone wants to see the pictures straight away and you can't do that with disposable cameras). Also, the cost of having them developed and put on a cd so you can upload them onto facebook etc. would not be worth it.
The laptop idea is great, and also if your venue has a projector, you can have the photos projected onto a wall or screen during the reception - a guaranteed talking point, and even those not brave enough to actually pose can have great fun looking at them emoticon
