@linseylou at my first hen, one of the girls had snuck in a pack of cards, called "Is he Mr Right?" and then had managed to get him to fill in the answers. I had to guess what he'd written and it was great fun. They were all really surprised at how well I did. I still have them now and we've been through them together as a couple - great fun!!!! xx

we had pass the parcel with dares in between the layers eg do a forward roll, do a highland fling....you could make them more rude tho.
we also played a version of mastermind with my mum and MIL as competitors and we had our partners as the specialist subject

we also played party games like the ballon game and one where you put a tennis ball in a pair of tights and then tie the tights around your waist so the bal dangles in a fairly vulger looking way between your legs to just below the knees....you then try to hit a baloon with the tennis ball by swinging your hips the winner is the first to get the baloon over a finish line...its quite funny to play

@loz2879 i just found it on this site http://jokeshop.ie/hen-and-stag/is-he-mr-right-hen-game/ and this site http://www.hen-den.co.uk/catalog/Birthdays-&-Special-Occasions/18th-Birthday/...

I'd love for my girls to do something like this for my hen do. Although i don't do the whole going out and getting drunk thing (i can't because of my antidepressant medication) i still want to have some fun on my hen night. Some of these games sound great

i also just found this game and it sounds like it could be quite funny:

Things You'll Need
Two to three wrapped presents Prizes

Instructions
1) Instruct all your guests to sit in a circle. Hand out the wrapped presents, distributing them randomly among the guests.

2) Ask your guests to listen closely to the story and pass the gifts to their left or right when they hear you say 'left' or 'right.'

3) Recite the following story, without stopping: "(Bride) knew 'right' away that she had found Mr. 'Right' and the 'right' date was set. Now seemed to be the 'right' time to start so she 'left' 'right' after lunch and went 'right' to her mother's house. She 'left' so fast the she 'left' her list 'right' on the kitchen counter, but there was not enough time to go back. She knew she had to start 'right' away to make sure that nothing was 'left' uncovered. With only 30 days until the wedding day, there was no time 'left' to spare and still so much 'left' to do. She asked her mother to 'write' the guest list because she knew that no one would be 'left' out. (Bride) 'left' to buy the 'right' invitations. She 'left' a message for the florist, and headed 'right' to the bridal shop. 'Right' there in the window was the perfect dress. She realized that she 'left' her check book 'right' in the car and told the shop owner to hold the dress because she would be 'right' back. After she bought her dress, she called Mr. 'Right' and 'left' him a message to call her 'right' back. She 'left' to go back to the florist who had 'left' her a message that they had found the 'right' flowers. Mr. 'Right' called her back and said he 'left' a message for the pastor to call them 'right' back. After a long day of running around and shopping for the 'right' wedding stuff, they were both 'left' exhausted. They both agreed to call it a day and he 'left' and she went 'right' to bed."

4) Identify the guests holding gifts at the end of the game and ask the following questions: When did the bride leave that day? Where was the first place that she went? What did she leave on the counter? What task did she give her mother? While on the way to buy invitations, who did she leave a message for? Who did Mr. Right call and leave a message for? How many days until the wedding? Where did she see the wedding dress? Where did she leave her check book? How many places did the bride go to that day for wedding stuff?

5) Give a prize to the person who remembers the most details about the story you told.

  • Do not know when the wedding will be
@emmsie had a similar question about hen party games:
Can anyone recommended any hen games that I can use for my hen night? We have a space in afternoon where we are having nibbles and playing games in apartment before heading out for a meal then to bird cage in manchester. There will be 11 of us, including my Mum and the grooms Mum too so want games to suit everyone and maybe some we can start in apartment and carry on with through night. I have a few ideas. Also want some icebreakers for mini bus ride down as lots of them have never met before. Thanks guys!!xx

kirstysmith @emmsie http://www.henpartygames.com/ not sure if this will b any good to u x
27. July at 16:13

jen150912 @emmsie For my mate's hen do a few wkends ago, the BMs prepared a 'treasure hunt' for us - they split us into teams, gave us a list of things to buy/have a pic with/find etc, and gave us an hour to do it - meeting in the pub after! As we were in Blackpool there was the typical items;

a stick of rock
a pic of a donkey
a pic of us with the Tower
a bucket & spade
etc

Could you do something along those lines? Was a lot of fun, and as the teams were picked at random we got the chance to chat with the girls we didn't really know that well. xx

27. July at 19:44

kelz15912 @emmsie

hi hun i know a game not sure what it is called. Depending on how many girls and what sort of time you have.

Again depending on the size get some novelty naughty gifts and wrap them. i have been to a party when people knew what the prizes were and it was so much more fun not knowing what they are.

Get a raffle book and give each person 3 raffle tickets, make sure the other half of the tickets are put safely in a bag, nominate someone to call out the numbers.

As each number is called the person picks a prize, when all prizes have been picked the game really starts. you get to steal a gift.

when all the tickets are gone, they then get to open the present

xx

jayneejayne @kelz15912 played that at an Ann Summers party - worked really well x

27. July at 22:05

jayneejayne @jen150912 I am too but I thought she would like the responsibility?? I have been helping a friend recently arrange a Hen Weekend and came up with a few ideas so starting to think about mine may have to drop a few hints hehehe x
27. July at 22:09

kelz15912 @jayneejayne i loved it, this one prize was float round the room, everyone wanted it even when not knowing what it was. turned out it was marshmellows lol xx
27. July at 22:12

jen150912 @jayneejayne I'd definitely be dropping hints - and not subtle ones!! lol!! x

  • Do not know when the wedding will be
@margaret022 was also wondering about hen do games ideas:
margaret022 I got married in september but back on here to get advice my sister is getting married in august so me and my other sis is organising her hen do, We have decided just a meal and pub crawl but we have done that lots in the past when we were younger so does any one have any ideas on games or something that can mebe make it slightly diffrent form a normal night out.

gina130284 @margaret022 One game I've done for a hen do this weekend... I've asked the groom 10 questions, really basic stuff such as what do you think is Claire's favourite food, tc and got him to give answers. Im going to be the quiz master and ask the questions. I've bought 10 shots; if she gets the questionright she can choose someone to down the shot. If she gets it wrong she has to down the shot herself! I asked the groom the Q's when he was with my H2B and some of the answers are so funny that she wont giess them!!

emjleo85 @gina130284 Thats a fab idea x

mrslightfoot I've seen on eBay you can buy dare cards. My idea was to make them and have one at each place setting (unless you want her to be the only one doing the dares)

emjleo85 @margaret022 You can buy scorecards so that any lad you bump into you can give them a score out of 10 x

@missengaged Well Claire has no idea what I have got planned, but I dont think it would ruin the game if she knew. We played this at another Hen Do but the Bride's MIL2B had bought vouchers for a beauty parlour and each question she got right she won £5 voucher.

@missengaged Haha Im getting good at it now!! It's claire's hen do this weekend; We're doing Dirty Dancing masterclass at midday followed by a cocktail masterclass at 6pm.
We've got the game planned with shots; she's not a very girlie person so wouldnt want the pamper thing. Got her a tacky veil, shot glass necklace, L plated and a garter which she knows nothing about. I've got everyone personalised dirty dancing t-shirts and a full sized watermelon which she has to carry around all day mwhahahahaha. Also done each girl a goody bag with a personalised sash (in Claire's wedding colour- red), a cocktail in a can, a few shots, mini love hearts with 'the future Mrs Boyd' on them, leg warmers for dirty dancing and a mini Molton Brown shower gel. There's a little invitation/itinerary in there too from Vistaprint!

@meeeshel I got everyone to buy their own black t-shirt / vest top. Then bought these transfers off ebay for £2.90 (inc p&p). Then it didnt break the bank.

The transfers come with a name part too and they just iron on- quick and easy!!
