Hi girls just looking for a little bit of advice
My h2b has had a rubbish time of late (best mate moved away, rubbish time at work and had a big fall out with his dad) anyway when h2b is down I feel so bad and am really quiet around other people. Me and h2b talk about stuff so it's not that it's just I feel like I worry too much when he is down.
Does anyone else feel like this or do you have any tips on how I can manage my feelings?
Thanks

Um when we have times like that we tend to go out dog alking or for a drink or do something we wouldn't normally do to try and make some of those times a bit happier for them x

@mrsmorrisontobe i no exactly what your talking about hun... I suffer from Bi Polar disorder so least little thing gets me worked up coz of it; i tend to get my ipod and take it to another room and have some me time listening to my fav music, also take my lovely dog out into the garden and play fetch.

If you dont worry then ure no human emoticon

Hope u feel better soon x emoticon

@mrsmorrisontobe Hey hun. I hate these moments. Generally I make his favorite meal and a big home-made chocolate cake, and spend the whole day in bed, playing on our laptops (his choice of game, on team-play). But if it's more serious I have to improvise, depending on the problem emoticon Is there something he loves that you can do together? xx

  • Do not know when the wedding will be
@mrsmorrisontobe I use to do that sometimes @luvbugangel not done it in a while though. I came home from somewhere once and was in a mood, can't remember why though, and I just went and lay on our bed, with my cosmopolitan magazine and my mp3 player listening to some great music I have on there, a lot I forgot was on there, h2b stayed in the living room watching tv, and it was just a really nice way of chilling out. Will have to sort out a new mp3 player and try it again sometime, when im next feeling down, fingers crossed that wont be for quite some time. Hope you both feel better soon xx

@mrsmorrisontobe Sorry, forgot to say that if he's ok, I'm ok, so basically my goal is to fix his mood. Than my mood will be good too emoticon

My h2b has been down too hun. He's having a hard time at work from his dragon of a boss and has lot a lot of confidence. When he get's in from work I allow him a 5-10 minute rant about it then i say stop, have a cuddle, go play a game for a bit then lets change the subject and say what we can look forward to. The worst thing about loving someone is that you feel every pain that they do- I have been caught being grumpy and feeling very sad but i just need to see my h2b and we just have a cuddle. I feel exactly the same as you so you're not alone at all xx

My H2B suffers from depression and anxiety but he has been much better lately. In the days when he was experiencing panic attacks or feeling very low I would worry sick about him! I helped him in the only way I knew how - got him into the gym to exercise and it definitely helped him.
But from what I understand its more about how you can help yourself?? Do you keep a diary? Might be worth doing or writing down what your worries actually are. Come back to them a few months later and see how you feel about them, IE did they come true.
Alternatively see if there are any support groups nearby for family members who suffer with mental health issues. Please dont think Im trying to put a label or diagnosis on your hubby to be, but it might help you to offload your worries/concern onto someone else.

@mrsmorrisontobe my H2B has had alot of down moments lately with his mom ill at the moment and more recently the new job turning out to be a joke, if hes emotional, he has a cry if it really gets to him (yep he does cry) and i just cuddle him and let him get it out of his system and just hug him for a while, go make a cup of tea and a meal if its close to mealtime or just make up a snack to cheer him up, then we will find something funny on tv or a good feelgood film and get him to laugh xxx if hes in a mood or worked up i also let him have a rant about it and get whatevers bothering him off his chest and give him a cuddle and a few kisses then do the same thing as above make a drink, snack or a meal and put something good on or if th weathers decent go for a long walk xxxxxx hope this helps xxx
