clareandjason2012  Hi there @annemarie82 welcome to finalstitch! this is a fab site all the ladies on here are really lovely youll be addicted lol xx one tip id give you is to diy whatever you can, wedding invitations, placecards, save the dates, favors, centrepieces, postbox for cards etc xx my mother in law is making our invites for us and whatever else we need as part of her contribution to the wedding, my cousin whos one of our bridesmaids and a talented cake maker is making our cake so were just covering costs of ingriedients cake stand for that,

other than that enjoy planning your wedding youll get lots of help and advice here xxx

Ive got all the card and ribbon for invites and the inserts im having printed at visitaprint.co.uk as i only need to pay postage with is £3quidish!
Great tips though! Just need to find out who out of everyone involved is talented and to make use of them somehow lol!! xxx

clareandjason2012  @annemarie82 youre welcome xx though you sound organised too! vistaprint are great highly recomend them theyve given great service to many brides to be on here, theres bound to be a few family members that you can call on for help and favours, will say too that ebay is an absolute godsend when picking up wedding stuff, i use it alot and have got some really lovely things in the process of getting the thankyou gifts and other things off there xxx happy planning xxxx

hi hun welcome to the site i had a baby to in dec a little boy
your doing right to wait im getting married in august and the stress is killing me with 3 kids and wedding planning plus full time work there is just not enough time
i agree with @clareandjason2012 diy as much as u can it is so much better and cheaper im doing my own flowers and done my invites and also doing my 2 youger bridesmaids hair on the day
b4 u say it yes im mad but saving money

boycee  @annemarie82 Hi and welcome to Finalstitch, congrats with your little baby boy and another congrats with the wedding date firmly back on track. I hope you'll be able to find and share some of your wedding tips/advice, and hope you'll agree that this is a lovely place to share with other brides to be and not to mention how creative these guys all are - making own brooch bouquets, post boxes, wedding invites e.t.c... By the way, I found these 2 posts in the Forum (you can search with keywords to help find if a topic already exists) which might give you some other ideas for money saving!

Im all about the wedding at the moment, super excited!
@missengaged, when I originally planned my wedding - was having it at St Pauls Church Langleybury and reception at the Hilton.
However, waaaay to expensive for my situation now! We are going to look at the noke (thistle) in stlbans on the 11th! xx

gerigab  i chose it for better weather as i love spring however this may was our wettest for years lol. it will fly in can't bellieve i've been engaged for nearly a year already

annemarie82  Nearly 2 years engaged for me - July 2009.
If the last 2 years have flown by, its definitely going to speed up to the wedding day!!

I have just asked my friend to make my wedding cake as shes great with cake making and shes agreed!
Soooo happy!! x

meeeshel  @annemarie82 OMG that's literally a couple of minutes from where my mum and dad lived and i grew up! I've been there a few times and it's nice there xx

My friend used to be a wedding planner there and she has been saying great things.
A friend of mine got married there in December just gone (I didnt go as I had literally just had my baby) and another friend is having their wedding there in October 2012!
Its very popular and they have great packages!! I've heard so many good things, i'm getting really excited about the viewing!!! xx

meeeshel  Yeah it is gorgeous, i must admit i didn't look at it as being so close to it all my life it felt a bit strange getting married there, if that makes sense? But seeing pics and the packages they do since I kinda wish i had.....
But our church is in Hemel so made more sense really to have a venue nearby x
