Hi everyone My name is Ina, I'm 29, the wedding is in Feb 2012, and two months ago the last thing on my mind was weddings My h2b proposed last month, and in 3 weeks time I had to get a lot of things done if I wanted to make it for a Feb wedding. It was a bit scary to do it by myself (we have no family here in UK), but a lot of friends come up with ideas or helped here and there The only problem so far is finding a dress - from every shop I've been the message is "No way the dress will be done for February" But I'm staying positive, and considering I've already picked the invitations, the venue, the cake and the flowers, I think I've done pretty well (I hope )

Hello . Wow only til febuary to arrange a wedding, you are brave. I'm sure if you keep looking something will come up about your dress, maybe you should search for shops selling " off the rail" and then you would only have to worry about alterations, good luck and congrats on your engagement xx

Wow you don't have much time but people have organised weddings in less time than you have with great success I don't have family in the UK either so I know how hard it can be. As @mrsjjonestobe said you could try off the rail dresses, look out for sales in wedding shops or places like preloved.co.uk, sellmyweddingdress.net etc, you can find brand new dresses there, not just second hand. Or if you don't want a designer dress, you could try ordering one for China. Have a look on the forum, for example here: http://www.finalstitch.co.uk/forum/thread/online-wedding-dresses-any-good-and... for trustworthy companies, many brides here have ordered their dresses from China and they turned out brilliant, quick and cheap ;)
Ebay is a godsend if you need something cheaply and quick and also if you want to diy loads, like most of us ;)
