October 2011 weddings

I am so so so excited but also very worried that I'm going to run out of things to do!! xx

emmsie  Mine is October the 1st too!! All sorted really, just the paying off now lol and hair and makeup trials. Getting exciting rather than stressful now xx

I'm getting very excited too except I've more or less run out of things to do until closer to the time lol. Oh well I suppose we can just chill n look forward to the day xxxxxxx

kel_bel85  YAY!!! im getting married 29th october! deposits are paid, invites going out next month, big payout on venue next month, buying things little and often every month, all the titbits so to speak, gifts, hen night bag fillers, activity bag fillers etc

squeakypurple  @jadebridetobe2011 thanks I've done the legal bits. Deposits on the venues, dress, transport and photobooth. I have my flowers as they're artificial (in photoblog). I've got my table decorations. Now I'm counting on my fingers thinking it's... over seven months away and a lot of things I'd like to get nearer the time (like bridesmaid gifts etc.) in case I change my mind! Heard warning stories from other brides where they've totally changed their mind about things and ended up buying twice - I just don't have that legroom in my budget! @kel_bel85 little and often is the way to go! That way I can pretend it's not costing me as much if I sneak them in over a long period of time! xxx

kayubi  @teeniet im also getting married on the 28th!! venue, cars, registrar and photographer are all booked, got our rings, going to order my dress next week, invites arrived yesterday... OOOHH so exciting!! im having an indian/english fusion style wedding as im indian and h2b is half indian so im wearing a traditional red outfit, still need to sort out my henna for hands and feet, get all my jewellery and wedding bangles...

I am just starting to sort flowers out now I have finally got bridesmaid dresses lol!! I was wondering as we are all October/November brides what flowers are in season at this time? I am looking at cream and green as they look gorgeous with brown (Bridesmaids). Any ideas- what you guys having?xx

jadebridetobe2011  Those flowers are gorgeous especially the first 2! stunning. I'm having purple lissianthus not sure if its the flower for that season or not but im guessing so.......lol xxx

stella4ben  @mrstanner2be I do get that from my family but H2B and majority of our guests are in the police so weekends mean nothing to them so we thought why not go for a Monday as its massively cheaper!!! Lol x

mrstanner2be  @stella4ben - yeah my man works for customs so he is the same - and my venue was 2 grand cheaper ! Bargain lol x

jezibella83  @stella4ben and @mrstanner2be I'm getting married on a Thursday and keep getting the "Thursday??" comments but like you mrstanner2be my venue was 2 grand cheaper and like you stella4ben my h2b is in the police and I work on check-in at the airport (I think I've told you that in a previous thread) so weekends mean nothing to us either. We've taken annual leave to go to other people's weddings at the weekend now it's their turn to take annual leave for ours!

mshella  i am getting married on the 8th of oct 2011. just got to get the suits for the h2b and page boys now every thing else is booked and mosly paid off.

mrsheaton2b  ours is 14th ocotber,wanted the 15th really but my dad is flying out to rome that day,booked the reg office,venue,dj and caterers just need to sort out outfits and flowers etc little bits like that.cant wait xxx
