Many of my friends and family have complained that getting married in October was the wrong choice as it would be too cold, now me and h2b are very happy with our choice and i know that we shouldn't care but it really bothers me! Its not like we are going to outside anyway we have a heated marquee....just wish they would all stop saying that a summer wedding would have been much bettter!!!
thank u for listening to me go on

jen150912@sharmzy87 OMG What is it to them when you get married?? Surely the whole point is that it's a day that you and your h2b want to have ppl share in your joy! Next time they complain tell them if it's such a big issue not to come. I guarantee they'll shut up. Really, what idiots...!! x

Think you may be my wedding day twin - I'm getting married 8-10-11 and I couldn't be happier with the date.
Last year it did rained quite a bit in late October but it wasn't too cold and as you have said your having a heated Marquee. If you had it in the summer they would probably complain it was too hot - you just can't win with everyone - the important thing is that you and H2B are happy with your date and venue as it is your day, your wedding and you should have what you want Let them have their weddings in the summer!!!! It may be annoying listening to them but you only have to listen for 101 days lol

This is what it was like last year:
7th to 16th:
During this period pressure rose resulting in a long spell of settled, mostly dry weather. Cloud amounts and temperatures varied from day to day, though for the most part the days became quite warm and very pleasant, especially early on in the period. Where skies became clear and the winds fell light it turned quite cold by night, with patchy mist and fog forming. Chivenor (Devon) had a maximum temperature of 23.1 °C on the 8th, and 22.5 °C was attained at Lee-on-Solent (Hampshire) on the 10th.

I love October (as it is my birthday and I love an excuse for a party!). I am with Becky on this one - just think of the gorgeous photos you can have, with those golden coloured leaves, Have you sorted your colour theme? Chocolate, dusky oranges and olive greens...... I love autumn!

munchkin79@sharmzy87 You'll get some lovely, atmospheric photos with the trees being all those lovely autumnal colours, and the light is often lovely in october. Whatever they say you can't guarantee good whether whatever the month. You've only got to look at this week to see that! Good luck to you. X

What a stunning time of year to get married! Not too hot, not too cold. The autumn colours will be beautiful and will only enhance your wedding photos. I don't understand people who feel it's their right to moan about what YOU'VE chosen for YOUR wedding! Funny though - have you ever met a bride who can please everybody?!
October is a lovely time of year to get married. Just imagine what your photos will look like with all those gorgeous colours on the trees. And you get to do so much more with your outfit by adding a bolero if you suddenly feel a bit chilly. Ignore your family. They all automatically cling to the "norm" of summer weddings. We're getting married in February but thankfully haven't had many people raising their eyebrows at it.
As long as you're happy with your choice that's all that matters. Don;t let it drag you down!
