I dont wear much make up persay usually more eye make up but i do use a daily mostuirser a simple one and now and agen i blend a smidge of moisturiser in it. Then a tad bluser or bronzer. But i was wondering if to go completley bear and see if my skin improves ..... I thought i have been applying mosturiser for years and years and rarley go with out ........ so i am gunna let my skin breathe and see if this works! mshella@mrsjeffrey2be how long have yu got till the big day, I would not do anything diferant in your skin care ruteen for bout a month before (just incase) if you have longer then it would do no harm cos if it dosent work there is enought time to go back to what you were doing.

I wouldnt stop moisturising but i would stop with the make-up. I'm like you - no acne but the odd stress spot! So i wash my face with clearasel cream every morning and then moisturise with my anti-wrinkle cream. Its really made a difference to my complexion. Of course I dont moisturise an area if it has a big spot - i let that dry out for a day x

jen150912@mrsjeffrey2be My skin cleared up loads when I stopped moisturising - it was just clogging up my pores and doing more harm than good! I also use freederm facewash which has helped loads x

I cleanse, tone and moisturise every morning, but I wear a lot of make up. I would get a good facewash (freederm or simple are both really good) and moisturise only when necessary.

sebsbride@mrsjeffrey2be For me facial wipes are the way forward, if I run out then I get a spot, simple! I don't moisturise everyday as skin seems to be much better if I do it just a few times a week. If I get spots I normally stick myself in the garden with no make up on and a little bit of sun seems to sort me out. x

mrsjeffrey2be@sebsbride@mrssteel2b@mshella@raewright@jen150912@jen_kristin thanks ladies for all your great ideas and guidance. My plan of action is detox.... love the idea of water .. but hate the taste but might try it .. might help diet wise two birds with one stone and all that lol .... skin wise i think i am just gunna bear it all and see how it goes ,,, if i see no improvement what so i ever i will start using different things like wipes, washes and moistures but i want to give basics ago first! i shall let you all know how i get on in a couple of weeks if any one is intrested lol!! Thanks again ladies xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I cut something out about skin and shoved it my scrapbook... let me look it up...
- water (obvious, but aim for 8 pints a day)
- oats (ie porridge) to aid digestion so that the skin can rid of toxins
- spinach, helps to protect skin from UV rays and pollution
- dark CHOCOLATE, contains antioxidants
- Oily fish (annoyingly I'm allergic to fish). Doesn't say what it does but it does say to it has 'good' fat in it!
- berries, for their vitamin C
- tomatoes, same as spinach....
I personally don't wear any make-up and never have except maybe at christmas. THe only things I put on it are Nivea daily mosituriser (a fiver) and Boots vitamin E night cream (£3). My skin is soft and rarely spotty. (Basically don't bother buying expensive creams and moisturisers).
Hope that helps x

I have stopped using chemicals on my skin I used to use quite strong face washes that made my skin yo-yo between beeing really dry and then really oily. I tend to use just a hot clean flannel and if i wear makeup use amakeup remover then a hot flannel. I only moosturise if i have to and only the bits that need it which is usully my cheeks my skin has been loads better but i think everyone is different and you just have to see what works for you
