Go and see your hygienist at your dentist. My H2B had the same problem as you and when he came home I swear he looked like a while new person! I really thought he had had his teeth whitened and he'd only had a clean. It costs about £60 and is better for you than whitening - that will bleach the stains but not remove them

ooooh you should always go to your dentist to get your teeth whitened properly!! don't ever get any things off the internet, because they can cause unrepairable damage and extreme sensitivity!

I'm a dental nurse, I've tried the whitening system that uses just trays. It worked really well, I'd def recommend talking to your dentist. But before you have it done ask for a full scale and polish. My surgery has an ultrasonic cleaner which I'm gonna get the boss to use on me before my wedding, it'll remove any staining and if you decide to proceed with whitening after it has a good surface to work on x

I'm going to my local dentist before the wedding......I'd rather it be done properly and it's a lot cheaper than going to a proper clinic to get it done. I hope I don't go Simon Cowell white though!!!

I have fluorosis and the effects of this on my teeth were worsened by my needing to have train tracks which now came off 8 years ago. They were very yellow and stained which as someone in their early twenties was a huge embarrassment. Not only does it not look good but you also worry about people thinking you are unhygienic. I tried whitening treatments at my local dentist as well as off the shelf things such as toothpastes and these did not work (although I concede that I am after all a fairly extreme case; these things will work for some of you). I ended up going for two treatments at the Smile Lounge (various places around the UK) - once in October and once in February for an April wedding. The first treatment really evened out the surface appearance so that it was nowhere near as patchy and then the second treatment finished that off and properly whitened my teeth. Cost £100 a time & very pleased with results. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions

I use Mighty White (www.mighty-white.co.uk) Have used it before and will be getting a couple of months' supply before the wedding too. I used to smoke but have now stopped but I still drink a lot of tea. I maintain by always using a whitening toothpaste, but there is nothing better than just after whitening

i bought some stuff on ebay last year that a friend recommended, it made my teeth quite sensitive and if you put too much on then it can sting a bit but only for an hour or two. My h2b thought it was silly but lots of people noticed and i did feel better, but as i drink tea & red wine and love a curry the effects faded quite quickly

I was thinking about getting mine done at the dentist but @angelil I think i might try the Smile Lounge, i've seen them in various shopping centres. How long does each treatment take? And is 2 treatments enough? xx

i had my teeth whitened not long ago with teh key 103 deals and it was in a shop in manchester town centre. They claimed it to be a lazer whitening when in actual fact its just a lamp !!! my partner treated me as it had been a year since i had stopped smoking it was 50 pound that was with a supposidly 75percent discount!! I had one treatement that lasted a hour it didnt hurt it was jus uncomfartable sat with teh strechy thing on your mouth. Anyway the treatment was complete and i noticed a ever slight improvemet ! I was really dissapointed but the woman assured me that the treatement actuallly takes effect up to 3 hours after! So there i was waiting for my white shiny teeth at hime next thing i kno my lips started swelling along with my tounge! I rang the dentist place where i had it done and expressed my concerns they said nothing like that had ever happened before and i was their first client to hve had an allergic reaction . They tryed blaming it on anything and everything saying had i eaten anything unusally etc etc etc ........ so my lips got that big i decided to go to A n E . After sat in A and E for 5 hourse i was given antihistamines and sent on my way....... I still have yellowish teeth and i want beautifool white ones i just dont think its possible now !! Not good!!
