jetsettingbride Hi Guys,
I know a photographer who is looking to start a Portfolio for his Trash the Dress, and obviously offers the photo session for free. Would you do it, or not do it, and why?
Happy discussions

jennsmith84 I am going to do it. My friend did it last year and she got some absolutely amazing photos. Her dress is still in great condition x

aisling No way, I've seen some photos of Trash the Dress shoots and they do really wreck it, love my dress, could not do anything bad to it!
@jennsmith84 How did your friends dress survive?

@aisling She didnt do anything to major with her dress she went in a poppy field, a river and in the sea. One of the pictures sitting in the river ended up in vogue xx

lawsontribe i want to do this but then my chap said i can hav e a second wedding dress, obviously cheaper than the first i have a fishtail dress for my big day and getting big princess one for the trash the dress photos i think its a nice idea, i couldnt do it if he said no to another dress not with how much i paid and my little girls keep asking if they can have my dress, i know its many many years away as my eldest is 6 but i hope one of the three girls will want it after ofc trying lots on themselves XD

loz2879 i think a trash the dress suit is an awesome way to get some fantastic artistic shots of you in you dress!!! if you dont want to go in thhe sea or river, my photographer also does a rock the dress shoot where you have a photo shoot in random locations but dont ruin the dress like you would in a trash the dress shoot!! x

@jennsmith84 Thank you, the pictures I had seen really trashed the dress. Your friends experience actually sounds like fun.
@jetsettingbride What sort of photos does your friend want and where is he based?
28. Oct 2010 at 09:24
dinzinelli I couldn't bare to ruin my dress, but I'm already sad that I only get to wear it once! Think a rock the dress is a much nicer idea and you could still get it a bit mucky, without ruining it.
@jetsettingbride I'd also love to know where they're based and what he wants...

mrs2b omg just googles it and looked at some pictures, i would not do this no way, after paying all that money for a dress mud n wet n stuff is not my idea of fun! haha if i did it with a cheap dress it looks quite fun tho!

@jetsettingbride I've been wondering what to do with my dress. Can you send me some details please x

littlemissshowoff I love the idea of doing this but I'm slightly wary of how trashed the dress could end up being. I've seen 'Cherish the dress' photoshoots as well so I'm thinking about doing that instead.

Hubby and me on a beach, and playing with the dogs in the sea (as the dogs cannot join us on our wedding day in sa... Hopefully the sand will come out of the dress after the dry cleaners.
