kookiebek@stella4ben I totally agree!! If just as a support. We are nearly all in the position where we are trying, have or will be trying in the near future to have children so it would be a good idea x
Hi guys a while a go a few of us had a similar discussion about this and a private group about infertility support was created, it has been a great help. You have to request to join as its a locked group, here is a link to the main page : http://www.finalstitch.co.uk/forum/private-group/infertility-suuport-group/

Hi girls we decided so start trying a few months before the wedding. I am soooooooooooooo excited and want to tell everyone but keeping it to myself for fear of jinxing us!
Has anyone tried one of those clearblue fertility monitors or sticks? Do you think they are worth it?

Do not know when the wedding will be
nextmrstaylor@kookiebek @mrsmorrisontobe We were advised not to use the ovulation sticks by the doctor as it can put on too much pressure (I never know when im due on anyway) about trying, not really heard anything about this monitor before, what is it ? xx
Most home ovulation tests identify the 2 peak fertility days during your cycle by detecting the surge in Luteinising Hormone (LH) that triggers ovulation. The Clearblue Fertility Monitor is unique as it tracks 2 hormones to typically identify up to 6 fertile days – it not only shows you your 2 peak fertility days, it can also inform most women of an extra 1-5 days of high fertility prior to their peak fertility. Since your partner's sperm can survive in your body for several days, making love on all of these days can lead to conception.
How does the Clearblue Fertility Monitor work?
The Clearblue Fertility Monitor stores information about your personal hormone patterns and personalises itself.
It counts the days and tells you which days to test.
It tells you when you're having Low, High and Peak Fertility days.
It even warns you when your period is due. This allows you to prepare for your next cycle, or, if you think your period is late, to test for pregnancy.
The Clearblue Fertility Monitor is suitable for women whose natural cycle normally lasts between 21 and 42 days.

nextmrstaylor@mrsmorrisontobe thank you for the information, it has help clear things up. I'll need to talk to hubby to be first and see what he thinks, though we might not be able to try for another 5 months or so though. Unfortunatly my cycle can be anywhere between 1 month between periods or even more, last year I went six months without one, I was actually given some tablets to start them so they were able to do some blood tests on me to try and see when i was ovulating (I could of told them it would be a waste of time as they do it at 21 days), luckily though I didn't end up having to take them as I ended up coming on a couple of days before I was going to start taking them. So i'm not too sure how well either home ovulation tests or the clearblue ones will work, but its definatly something worth thinking about, especailly as its never at the same time of the month that I come on regardless of how long inbetween it is for me xx

mrsmorrisontobe@nextmrstaylor goodluck hun I do think though you can try all the gadgets and gizmo's in the world and we still only have a small chance of falling pregnant.
My best mate has been trying for 4 years so when we start I just want to know we are doing it at the right time- that's if the thing works!

nextmrstaylor@mrsmorrisontobe thank you, we're still at the enjoyment stage of trying as only been trying just over a year, hopefully it will happen soon, though he said his cousin and her husband were trying for 6 years before they were lucky, they've now got a beautiful little girl whos about 18 months old (and also who we're hoping to be our flower girl). Hopefully it wont take us long or you and your hubby to be and the that all the peeing on sticks works nd makes it worth while. Sometime I joke that maybe we should do what they do on Jeremy Kyle and just get drunk and get on with it, always seems to work for them, lol, though it wouldnt really work for us as I dont drink and if hes been out drinking he's too knackered to do anything
