Hi all, I'm new here and was looking for some advice on location. Me and my h2b are both in agreement to marrying abroad and love the idea of white sand, blue sea etc! Mauritius is top of the pile. Is anyone else planning on getting married here, who can give me some idea of the best resort, how much...well any advice would be muchly appreciated! X

A wedding abroad sounds lovely, and apart from Gina I know that @lollih is having hers in Thailand and @lusheeuslisa in Florida(by the way putting the @ sign before someone's name help brings it to the bride to be's attention under the Notifications section).

I am sure that they do weddings and it's meant to be a fab resort. It might be worth considering for your big day! To give you an idea of cost, we are paying £4,000 for 10 nights all inclusive.

@caz27 Hi Hun, we are marrying in Thailand like boycee said. The flights Costs us £1,200 the wedding is costing £1000 including legal fees and beach ceremony & dinner afterwards. Then We are staying in 4 different 5 stars hotels during our 3 weeks thee which asre costing £1,400 for all of them.Obviously we have to register our marriage in Bangkok when we first arrive which takes 3 days to make the marriage legal here. Hope this helps

Thanx everyone, there is so much to think about and so many different resorts too, its overwhelming! I will check out your ideas, all helps, I already have a box full of brochures, think my h2b thinks I'm going crazy! Will keep u updated! Xxx
