yep, a few hundred times lol. First it was sage green, but then I fell in love with a pair of amazing hot pink shoes so I decided it will be the accent colour. So sage green and hot pink. Quite unorthodox but fine. Then we ordered my h2b's hanky and cravat online, which they said was sage green but turned out to be more of a lime green, which actually we prefer to sage green now so we changed the colours to lime green and hot pink. Then my sister picked a dark-ish green (striped) bm dress, so we said fine, our colour scheme shall be all-greens-under-the-sun and hot pink. Which is why I let h2b buy massive all-greens-under-the-sun block candles for our centre pieces. Hopefully, with 5 months to go we won't change our colours again lol x
Oh and our venue just changed the curtains in our function room from a nice mid-green to a dark-ish green. Great...

@mrsbaugh2be I'm absolutely gutted that Purple is the colour of the year, it's been my favourite BM colour since I was about 13 lol. I'm sticking with it though, luckily no-one I know this year is having the same colour so fingers crossed I'm not having a "common" colour if you now what I mean. Sorry, I don't have waffle on sometimes.... emoticon

I was having Plum brought everything in plum, then in Nov i had a call from dress shop to take bridesmaids for there measurements the girls tried the dresses on and i decided i no longer liked plum so i changed to a brighter purple at the last minute. x

  • Do not know when the wedding will be
@leakylou I originally wanted a purple colour but not cadburys purple but now started to change my mind and go for a red colour, something like maroon or burgundy, a darkish red, as it will go more with his dress uniform. As we havent even booked a date yet nothing is set in stone so we're quite lucky in that sense xx

working in a bridal shop i find that brides often change their colour loads and loads of times, Purple is THE colour of the year, it is the most popular and 75% of our brides are having purple this year, so i have gone for forest green, ivory and silver.......its clean and stylish, easy to do and blends in easily with what eve colour m.o.b and m.o.g decide to wear ........................................

i have changed my colour scheme quite a few times too. I started off with pink and ivory, then changed it to yellow as i thought it would be nice in the summer. My bridesmaids however, refused to wear yellow. So then i went to blue but we couldn't decide on what shade of blue to have. Then i wanted blue and pink, but found it difficult to find a shade of blue to go with the pink. So i went back to Pink and Ivory and that's my final colour scheme. My bridesmaids don't like Pink but they didn't like anything else i picked and couldn't come up with anything they liked that i didn't think was horrendous, so i picked the one i liked the most. At the end of the day if you want to change it then do so, cause if you're not sure about it now then you won't be happy with it on the day.

Aww, congrats on your wee suprise emoticon I was originally Burnt Orange and Ivory, then i was Burgandy and Ivory now I am Dark Green and Ivory. Im doing an Autumn theme so it kind of all matches lol. I think that purple is beautiful and works really well with ivory. x

my H2B and I agreed on fuschia pink when we got engaged a year ago s its my favourite colour. 3 of his friends are also getting married this year and we have just found out we have all chosen the same colour. Even worse, one friend is getting married two months after us, and we have bought exactly the same bridesmaids dresses!!!!

The top colour trends of the moment seem to be teal, and hot pink (based on the flowers requests we receive), also a lot of people have a mixture of colours, so don't be limited by one colour, ie purple, blue and ivory or if you wanted to be different to other people you know have the same colour scheme you could mix it up by having pale pinks, hot pinks and ivory etc.

We have never really had a colour scheme, we have just had a theme of autumn/harvest and therefore pretty much any colour we want can be added in so we currently have shades of brown, orange, dark red, rust and gold but sure that will have increased further by the wedding day!! x
