@sam_edwards85 our favourite desert is chocolate fudge cake...we havent got round to sorting ours out yet but we're hoping our venue will do this for us. They have it available on the kids menu so hoping theyll do it for us x

@sam_edwards85 I would say in the summer you would probably need to go for something light and fresh like a mousse and some nice thin tuille biscuits, a pannacotta, a semifreddo (i saw a recipe for a lovely looking limoncello and raspberry semifreddo on the good food website) or even something like a red berry tart with some cream would be nice. There is always the option of something like a fruit pavlova with some seasonal fruits (strawberries, blueberries, peaches, cherries) or something like a summer fruit pudding again using fruits in season in June (all the ones i have listed above are seasonal for June and i'm sure there are others too) if you want something safe and fairly simple.

It also depends on the style of the rest of the menu and what you are serving for the rest of the day as you'll want something that isn't out of place with the other dishes. I hope i've given you a few ideas but i would have a word with the venue too and see if there's anything they would recommend.

like @tinks1985 said I think something lighter is good - especially after a wedding breakfast! We've gone for a rum and vanilla pannacotta with summer berries. Hope you find what's right for you xx

We're having creme brulee! Like you I was disappointed with some of the desserts we tried but this was excellent, and my absolute favourite.

@sam_edwards85 For a refreshing, light and traditional desert, you can't beat lemon meringue pie! YUM!

@sam_edwards85 Eton Mess? As everyone else has said, something light as by the time the guests have eaten everything else, they probably won't want anything too heavy. Speak to the venue and see what other suggestions they have. You're paying them to keep you happy emoticon x

Depends on what you like hun!! H2b to be and I are having our menu tasting in 2 weeks! We have designed our own menu and because we both LOVE chocolate, we decided to have this for dessert, it seemed the obvious choice for us!! We are trying Milk Chocolate truffle torte served with a dollop of cream and strawberries! Our other option is Milk chocolate fondant with chocolate sauce with srawberries/raspberries!! x
