I just got my dress, it still needs some adjustments but instead of feeling happy I'm having second thoughts it's mainly because my sisters don't seem to like it, kinda shook my confidence... did this happen to you? what do you think i should do to feel happy about it again?

Don't let others put doubt in your head hun, I can't believe that have let you know they don't like it! I made it perfectly clear to my mum and sister, just how much I loved my dress and when they saw me in it they could see how happy I was! I think they genuinely like it but even if they didn't they would never have said anything to make me think that! I think your sisters are being a bit mean, you obviously loved the dress to choose it in the first place so stick with it and remember how you felt when you first tried it on... amazing I bet! Chin up hun xxx (I agree with @jaynesastar85 only my mum and sister have seen my dress and noone else knows anything about it, nice to surprise everyone and that way they'll have to say you look stunning on the day whether they like the dress or not!) xxx

I agree with @alison79, the only thing that matters is how YOU feel about your dress. Don't try to please others, it's your day, you have to make the day reflect you and your h2b and if you want to wear a very daring/colourful/extreme dress, so be it. If you love it, wear it.
There was a reason why you fell in love with this dress, so don't let how others feel about it influence your feelings. Of course it's disappointing if your family members don't like your dress but let's be honest, you might not like their choice of wedding dress. Everyone is different, that's why there are about 10 million different types of wedding dresses lol
If you decide you really don't like your dress any more, try to exchange it if the shop will let you, or sell it and get another one if you can afford it.
At one point I had 4 wedding dresses as I bought a few off ebay but didn't like either of them, so now I've ordered my dream dress (the 5th) and I'm still trying to sell on 2 of the first 4 - serves me right for rushing into things lol x

My bridesmaid told me they didn't like my dress when they saw what I had picked. They said it didn't seem like "me". It made me question it for ages, even though I had loved it. I'm happy to say a year on and i'm still in love with it. As long as you are happy with your dress that's all that matters. Go back to that happy place you felt when you first discovered it and saw it was the one, you'll fall in love with it all over again.

There was another thread about this and I think a few girls have felt like this. Brides suggested that you might have had your hair different when you tried on it originally so that could have made you feel different this time. Your sisters might be jealous as you look so gorgeous in it. Once it fits you, you'll feel loads better. Try and try it on after you've had a hair trial and see how you feel then x

It's YOUR dress and you must have loved it when you bought it. I worry that mine is very plain but then think that that's just me and how I am. The dress should reflect you, not anybody else as H2B is marrying you not your sisters xx

jezibella83@meename I feel exactly the same at the moment. When I picked my dress up from the shop I tried it on & didn't realise it had sequins as well as beading on it. I didn't have anyone there with me and stood there looking at myself in the mirror thinking 'I've just paid £800 for a dress that has sequins on it!" I was so deflated thinking 'I could have got a dress from eBay with sequins on for £50'. My hair was a mess that day and I had no make up on. When I told my chief BM she advised that the next time I go and get my hair cut & coloured and the hairdresser styles it I should go round her house, she'll put nice make up on me and I'll try the dress on again with the veil, shoes & jewellery and hopefully I'll love it again so that's what I plan to do. It's similar advice to that given by @laraandsteve.
I'm surprised your sisters said they didn't like the dress, that's a very outspoken opinion and one which really should not be said out loud to the bride, don't worry about them. This dress was obviously your gut instinct so go with it xxx

I felt exactly the same about mine but everyone kept saying to me that the dress is stunning and it looked stunning on me but i didnt feel that when i tried it on but on the day with hair/make up done it was completely different i felt amazing, beautiful, the most beautiful bride there was in my mind anyway and nobody was gonna take that away from me so dont worry if you feel amazing in you dress then thats all that matters.. i agree with all the girls that have commented so get back to that happy place and start planning your hair and accessories..xx
