Does anyone know how much the import tax is for buying dresses from China? I really like a particular dress from a site, its £155 but I don't know how much the import tax is... Cheap dress comparatively but I am already taking risks with quality and fit etc, so I'd like to know what I'm going to be whacked with after it arrives!!!!!

Details like that should be on the FAQ section of the site, if not, email them directly to find out. I'f they're in the buisness of exporting dresses, they should know.
Hope this helps x

i ordered , my wedding dress , my bridesmaid dresses and fur wraps from china and was only charged on the bridesmaid dresses I think it was about £16 we paid for two dresses each cost about £70 the others we have paid nothing. Plus i also bought flowergirl dress from usa and not had any charge I think it is worth it as I have saved so much money by doing it this way x

customs tax for clothing is 12% of the total cost including postage, then you pay VAT of the total cost plus the customs tax. Someone on here was saying it's very unlikely to get charged that, especially if they mark it as a gift. It's usually waived if it works out under £9. Here was where we discussed it before, hope that helps x
