Do you mean actually putting RSVP cards in with the invites for guests to fill out??
I wouldn't do that - what a waste of money!
I would however put "RSVP by [whatever date you want to know by]" - if grown adults can't take it on themselves to write or send an email in response to that then there is something wrong!

Do not know when the wedding will be
boycee@louweeezzzz was also wondering about RSVP's into evening invites -
louweeezzzz Do you include RSVP cards with evening-only invites? and do I provide envelopes with RSVP cards in general?
emjleo85 @louweeezzzz I suppose it all depends on if you need to know definate numbers for catering as if you do then i would include them so you have a better idea if not then i wouldnt bother. I think most people do provide envelopes for the rsvps x

accidentallyme We had postcards made with our address on the back. We included them with the evening invitations just for completeness as the venue is limited for numbers xx

We included rsvp's in evening invites just to make life easier for guests and encourage them to reply. Think it's a personal thing so do whatever you think. x

I haven't put them in, I haven't even put them in with the day invites, I made all the invites, menus and poem cards to send to people, if people are too tight to buy a wedding acceptance card at 50p there's something seriously wrong, I wouldn't bother putting them in x

I have put RSVP's in both day and evening invitations, solely for catering purposes. I didnt mind spending an extra £10 on RSVP's to ensure i didnt overspend on catering. my invitations for day and night went out earlier this week and i have had replies already so I am happy I did it this way as it seems to have worked for me. it is entirely your own choice. x

We put RSVP postcards with both our day and evening invites but also gave people an email address to reply to if they preferred. We thought that the easier we made it for people then the quicker we will get replies. We need to know numbers to tell the venue (and in any case, I would like to know who is coming too!).
For the evening guests we didn't ask to know about dietary requirements as they can chose what they wish to eat for the buffet and will already be ensuring there are no nuts to cater for other guests' allergies.
It's been fun getting all the RSVPs back through the post (I was surprised that most people went for that option rather than email).

Depends if you have a seating plan for the evening or a meal or buffet which requires numbers, most people dont cater for the exact number of people in the evening as your day guests would of eaten already so they wont be major hungry. Dont think many people do put them in but if you wish to then go for it

We have done because like elodiesmummy has said we need to know how many additional guests will be attending the evening reception for catering purposes, our venue needs to know how many additional evening guests there will be attending to ensure that enough food for the posh BBQ we are having is provided x

mrsctobe@reillykit we are putting RSVPs in the evening invites, as @essex_bride and @elodiesmummy have said, we need to know numbers for the evening buffet. It also will help with dietary requirements i.e. nut allergy or coeliac etc. We are also planning on doing something like a raffle ticket system whereby all evening guests are given a raffle ticket on entry which will get them a drink at the bar on our tab, so they get their own version of a welcome drink, so we need to know for budgeting reasons. xx

nextmrstaylor@mrsctobe that is a really good idea about using a raffle ticket system for the arrival drinks as that way the guests can choose what drinks to have

We did. We can only have a limited number for the day and I knew that a lot of them wouldn't be able to make it. I wanted to know who would definately be coming to the evening so that I could upgrade some of them to full day guests.

I haven't bothered to put them in, I have enough bits of card in with the invites already lol. I agree with @getmetothechurchontime if people can't be bothered to spend 50p on an RSVP card then maybe they shouldn't be coming anyway. I do need to know numbers for the wedding breakfast and I've put the date people need to reply by on the invite. Like I said to my sister the other day (who is putting RSVP cards in) after she said "yeah but all they need to do is buy a stamp and send it back" more often than not the stamps are bought from the same place you can find RSVP cards lol. I want some keepsakes for myself when I'm spending this much money making averyone else happy :D x
