Hiya hun, here's a few things we've done:

1) H2B made a money box and we each put £10 a week into it and tick it off each week. We're going to put this towards our flights for the wedding (as its abroad) and we wont have a big lump sum to pay up front.

2) We're saving every £2 coin which we get. You'd be surprised how many you get. Since we started this in September I think (at the last count) we saved over £50.

3) Sell some old/unused/unwanted gold. The guy who came to ours last week when we designed our wedding rings used to be in the business of buying and selling gold. H2B had a broken chain (9ct, 15.2grams) and he told us to go on this website:
http://www.oldgoldshop.com/
We had a quote for £194 for his chain which we sent it off the day after and got cash for it!

@lusheeuslisa One of the things I did to raise some cash was to downgrade my car. I used to be a bit of a petrol-head but sensible-head took over once we got engaged! I swapped my sporty VW for a basic Polo runaround, got £4k cash in return, and my insurance, road tax and fuel costs halved. I'll get my sporty one back after the wedding emoticon x

Actually Id completely forgot we swapped one of our cars hahaha. H2B had an Audi A4 (gorgeous car) but swapped it for a Ford Fiesta titanium. Half the cost in petrol, no need for an MOT/Service for a year or two and only £10 tax a year as well.

We also got rid of the movie channels and sports channels from sky saving £20 a month.

@gina130284 Oooh I love Audi's!! We had A3Quattro but had to change when we had our daughter!! We have decided that is the first thing we are getting after the wedding, back to a nice luxury car...he he!!
I would say @lusheeuslisa is there anything you're really good at, e.g baking, crafting etc , maybe you could start a little facebook page to make some extra money! If not just sell on anything you don't use/want anymore, clothes, toys, book etc! That's what I've been doing, plus it spares some room up in the house/garage/loft...ha ha!! Goodluck hun.x
