Wedding gifts for husband to be

jen150912  @sammykins I've no idea - I got talked into buying him a posh watch as an engagement present. I got the diamond ring and he felt put out, so I relented. Ended up saving about £100 on it mind you as we happened to buy it from the jewellers my friend works in...! Anyways I digress...

A watch would be lovely - mum got my stepdad on for their wedding, and I would have got my H2B one if he hadn't pouted last year...

@lexxielou will you have the best man give him it on the morning of your day so he can wear it from the morning? xx

mrsking2b  I've done a little gift box for my H2B.

In it I have put an engraved pocketwatch, a pair of socks with "So You Don't Get Cold Feet" embroidered on them, a towel with Grooms To Do List on, a pearl cravat pin, and a lucky penny and clover charm to go in his inside pocket on his jacket.

I've also got him the My Beautiful Groom Book, which I have got to finish filling in

for my main pressie to H2B im doing something different that he hoepfully will like but and definetly wont guess what it is!!! im doing a budoir shoot http://www.ohsoboudoir.com/index2.php#/home/ you get an album of 20m photos in packgae im having done, its classy shoots and im having done in my wedding under wear etc! it will say for your eyes only and hopefully bring a smile to his face on morning of wedding, think its a good idea? i saw them at natinal wedding show and they looked fantastic and classy beautiful shots! so hopefully be woth the money!lol x luckily my friend is getting married 4 months after me and she is coming with me so we are both doing a shoot for out H2B giifts and making a weekend of it!!

i think something personal and something you will knwo he loves is perfect for a wedding gift! we have been together 8 and half years so have done all the jewellery gifts etc etc so has to think of something different! what do youa ll think? good idea or not!!!

I got my fiance a really posh watch as his engagement (birthday/christmas lol) gift from me as its something that will last him forever and he loves it and he can wear it everyday like I wear my ring- he just stares at it all the time and he says that every time he looks at it he thinks of me and our wedding :D x

mrshstobe  i got my h2b a rare one of a kind bottle of Glenfiddich as he loves the stuff, it has a personalised note from me inside, and i'll get the bm to give it to him on our wedding day. i'm gonna get him something else as well, just not sure what yeet!! lol xx

clareandjason2012  im making mine i do cross stitch and have started now on a picture called "the wedding" (will post pic of a photo of the design as the finished one wont be done for a few months yet know he will love that ive stitched it for him and will present it to him when we do the speeches at our sit down meal with everyone there but found a card in the clearance section of a card shop the other day with "for my hubby to be" thats meant to be sent on the morning of the wedding, never seen anything like it before, i will give him a little gift with the card that ill send down to the breakfast room on the morning if the wedding as were staying at our venue the night before (seperate bedrooms of course ) and ill be up in the bridal suite with my bridesmaids having breakfast he wont expect that and know he'll love that too xx

Can you tell I'm actually pretty crap at things till i see everyone else's ideas!!

essex_bride  @mrsking2b Ive just seen the "My Beautiful Groom Book" What a fantastic Idea, Mark loves anything sentimental which holds memories so I think that would be perfect for him. Up until now i had not really thought of a gift for him x

katie_reeve  I'm getting my H2B an engraved watch, as many of you have said, I want him to get it the morning of our wedding so he can wear it that day and he loves watches! I asked him about the FYEO photo shoots and he said it was tacky (sorry to those ladies that have done it) as he says " why do I need a picture to look at when you could pose for me in the flesh any time I like". But I think for those of you who have or are going to do it, do it! It's about personal choice and what you think your man will love xx

googlebug85  im sending h2b to St James' Park for a day with the legends! hes a massive newcastle united fan and i think he would be over the moon!! means a weekend away as we live 3 hours drive from there but its worth it to see his face!!!

ruthee  I am planning on recording a CD of me singing songs which mean something to us as he always says the thing he misses when I'm not there is my constant singing! My brother is in charge of looking after him on our wedding day as I don't trust the best man so I will give it to him to give to J for me with instructions that he is to play it whilst he gets ready - just hope he likes it

clareandjason2012  @wilsonsoon2bcolins thanks i hadnt seen anything like it either and know H2B will love it and @essex_bride ive also seen the my beautiful groom book going to get that too to fill in and send it down to him on the morning of the wedding,...think theres a few grooms going to get books lol it is such a sentimental and lovely idea ill know he will love it he also said to me on msn tonight when he asked what i was doing i said stitching for the wedding and he went "i Knew it!!" but as far as he knows im stitching our ring pillow for our pageboy Josh to carry and a smaller one for Josh to keep as a momento of the day, he told me he loves that i stitch and loves me for it so know he will like his big present

kookiebek  Im getting my H2B a personalised leather bound book of all the liverpool football club press coverings since the club started. My friend got one for her boyfriend of a different cluband its brilliant, you can have a personal message printed inside it too. As H2B is mad on Liverpool (We were NEVER going to get married in the football season, lol!) it is the perfect gift, really personal for him and I know he will love it!x

have been searching the internet for something unique, my h2b is a HUGE Everton fan and they apparently can send a card with signatures from footballers to congratulate him.........i know he will love it have emailed them, just waiting on a reply.

think i'm going to get him a pocket watch too though

kelz15912  If you want more of an intimate gift, i saw a photographer at the NEC wedding Fayre, that will do photo/album for your partner, They are called For Your Eyes Only. The girls were lovely and from what i remember the photographer are all female. This is one on the gifts i will be getting for my h2b.

jen150912  @kelz15912 I'm thinking of doing something similar for my H2B - a company called Moi Boudoir in Glasgow do the same, I think FYEO is Manchester based? If I do decide to do it, I'll DEFINITELY have to lose the jelly belly!! ;) x

dinzinelli  @kelz15912 I'm doing this too, but we've arranged to have the studio for the day with my hen party. We all get one photo each but can obviously buy more and they're providing champagne. Cant wait, he will love it. xx

@jen150912 jelly belly???don't be silly, you look well slim in your photos!! if your curious and fancy the shoot go for it as they really do make you look amazing!!! i wish i had heard of FYEO as sooo much cheaper than what i paid but only differnce is i get album, meeshel on here had link for gropon voucher for FYEO shoot for £29! dunno where FYEO is so if near you go for it!! i would lol! you will look fab!

@dinzinelli Love your idea for hen party!! im having a top model shoot for my hen party in london we go to jodie kidd modelling school and treated and papped like models for four hours!lol your hen weekend sounds fab!and all your friends will feel fab after an FYEO shoot! and our friends will have lovely photos to take home to so will always remember the hen weekend!lol definetly worth it!! xx

mrs_madge  it sounds really random, but i'm buying my h2b a pair of shoes lol - though they are really nice ones, from Church's in London, apparently they are hand stitched and you can keep taking them back for repairs for all the years they last and they do it for free (should bloody think so as well, the price they are!)

i wanted to get him a watch too but i dont think i can stretch my budget to a tag watch! xx
