Not quite, but I'm getting hitched June 11th 2011, which is 15 days away :S
We picked it because we wanted an outdoor wedding and it's close to the solstice so lots of free natural light! We couldn't have had the following Saturday (12th anniversary of my brother's murder) or the weekend after (too close to my son's birthday). So it was a process of elimination really!

Not the 12th, but we are doing it on the 6th June 2012. We didn't pick the date for any partiular reason but after booking it we noticed it'll be the 6/6 and this adds up to 12 - so my H2B thinks that if he always keeps this in mind, he'll never forget our anniversary lol!!!

we decided on the 9th June as it gave us just over a year to plan and save and it was also the month between our birthdays. Ciaran's is in May and mines in July, so we will have 3 months worth of celebrations.

not exactly but only a few days after yours, we'll have the ceremony on the 20th June and the reception on the 23rd. I'll turn 30 on 26th May next year (just turned 29 yesterday lol), and my H2b is already 31 - nothing special, we're just hoping for good weather, as @diamondbetty said it's near the summer solstice (or on that day? not sure...) so we'll have lots and lots of natural light and plenty of time for outdoor photos

I'm the 6th June... so 3 days before. We originally wanted 6th May as it was the day before May Day, and half way between our two birthdays, but it had been taken so we had to change it. I work at a school so it had to be a weekend or during a school holiday and as the 6th is the Wednesday of the half term it is perfect and our anniversary is the 6th September so keep with 6th. I also love the sound and look of 06/06/12.

freyakins@rachaelluke The 4th is the bank holiday Monday and the 5th is the Queen's Diamond Jubilee so that is also technically a bank holiday as we get the day off work (like the Royal Wedding)!

Ours is 3rd June 2012, it was originally Sat 23rd June 2012 as we have a "thing" about the number 23 but then one of the weddingplanners at a venue we visited suggested the 3rd as its a long bank holiday weekend - same as @baldwin2bconnolly says for the queens diamond jubille! We love good old queeny now! Xx

kris1983@laraandsteve it seems so close now even thou its still 10 months away, i know that the next 10 months will fly by. What have you got sorted, also do you mind me asking when are you sending out your invites, i was going to send mine in Jan but my h2b thinks this is to soon.
