Today I went to a wedding fayre and tried on lots of wedding rings.... As my engagement ring is platinum I am going to have to have a platinum wedding band.
Well I thought I would until a lady told me about Palladium..!? Apparently it's exactly the same as platinum, colour wise and won't fade.. Except it's more lightweight and half the price.
I have my reservations for obvious reasons but I wondered if any of you have come across Palladium and is it as wonderful as the lady made it out to be!?
Just adding - the rings she sells are designed and made by a small company and come with a lifetime guarantee.
Thanks Xxx

tinks1985@mrshtob me and my h2b want palladium wedding rings! They are just as good as platinum but without the hefty price tag. We have tried a couple on and they felt really nice to wear. I thought my h2b was joking when he told me that he wanted palladium rings (he's a super hero nerd and apparently part of his favourite super hero's suit is made in palladium) but they are lovely

loves_to_dance@mrshtob I think palladium is getting quite common now as a cheaper alternative to platinum with many of the same properties. I've come across it with all the jewelers I've spoken to. Apparently the price is starting to go up now that people are catching on to it and it is become more popular. If you have a platinum engagement ring, I would seriously consider palladium for your wedding band.

The prices are so different... It's a bit too good to be true almost! Well I think I'm sold on Palladium and we will be ordering them soon to get them at the best prices.
The company they are from literally make them how you like, add diamonds etc and keep looking after them forever, resizing and polishing them when needed. Which I think is Fab! x

mrswilsonme@mrshtob We had Smooch rings round today and the man told us the same thing. We have bought palladium rings because they are of the same quality, if not better and half the price I trust what he said because he could have made more money out of the platinum ones x

laraandsteve@mrshtob We have palladium wedding rings yet my engagement ring is platinum. Guy who made mine told me not to worry about the 2 metals rubbing on each other as palladium is a strong metal too. You can't see a colour difference either (pics in my photoblog) Really chuffed with ours and we bought them last Feb, wedding's in June this year. First 'big' thing we bought but by the sounds of it, a good idea if prices are going up! x
