Hi Ladies, i have bought my veil and tiara and i put them on again yesterday with my hair half up and half down and no matter how i tried wearing it it just didn't seem to fall right or look right.

How are you all wearing your veil or does anyone have any suggestions for things i might try? I definitely want to wear my veil and couldn't imagine getting married without it but i also need to know that it will look right

@tinks1985 Hey, what kind of veil is it, do you have a pic?

I don't know if this is very obvious but I think if you have your hair all up, then a veil low down behind your head then it looks nice. With hair half up or half down i think the veil needs to be higher so the hair can flow, if you know what I mean?

I can't imagine not wearing one either. I know what you mean with not being able to get it to feel right. To me they look lovely on everyone else but I can't help feeling like I am a ghost with sheet over my head!
xxxx

@tinks1985 - Hey hun, I'm actually planning on having my hair half and and half down with a veil. You can google it for some options. I've uploaded some pictures into my album this morning of how I actually plan to do this... My pictures only really show from the front but this is a better view...
Hopefully that helps xxx

@tinks1985 I think if you're having your hair half up then your veil is too high in the pic above? I'm wearing mine like @mrslopez2b and have a few really crap pics of my efforts in my photoblog somewhere, but I'm going for the look in the pic she's posted above emoticon I had my veil clipped into the section of hair that was pinned back xx

@jen150912 i tried it high up to start with cause i was toying with the idea of wearing it over my face and still can't decide if i want to or not. I did try it a bit further back as well though. I think i might try it out a few different ways when i next go and try on my dress as i think that may make a bit more of a difference maybe?

@tinks1985 - if you would like to have your veil worn over your face perhaps you should speak with a hairdresser about what ideas they might have. I'm sure you could contact one for a few no obligation consultation to see what options you have as they would be best experienced on how it would work best xx

are you growing your hair...as i think the length will also effect how it looks. the other thing you could try is having the front locks down and the back up and wear it high

@tinks1985 Your hairdresser will definitely be able to help loads more than I could (I can't even curl my own hair lol!) But wherever your hair is pinned is probably the best place to have your veil sit too - and the blusher will no doubt cover your face even if your veil is sat a bit lower on your head. Take plenty of pictures for all angles when you're experimenting, that way you can see how it looks and help you make your mind up xx

It all depends on the half up half down style you are going to have, if I was doing a bridal style that was going to have some detail in the hair that's up the veil would go under the hair, if it was just a simple half up eg just curls pinned the veil tends to sit on top x

I had my hair as a half up and half down style and the veil itself was pushed up into the pinned up section of my hair. Because the veil was 2 layers and was designed to be pushed back into the hair on the top of your head like most veils we had to remove the comb and sew it back on in reverse and then it was pushed up into the up sections with lots of pins. It stayed in all day without a problem and didn't fall out until it was removed. Ive attached a pic to give you an idea x

@tinks1985 have you tried curling the hair under your veil it might make it look a bit softer.
