already booked at llancaiach fawr manor house, which has 17th century buildings and gardens (haunted house, but we wont actually be in that part) but the ceremony and reception are in the newer converted buildings-a barn for ceremony and consevatory for reception.all fits in nicely with our midsummer nights dream/bluebells theme.......but h2b prefers Llechwen Hall - another listed building, very old hotel on top of mountain.still country looking although reception would be in marquee - Im not fussed on anything looking too modern and pristine, what would look better for our theme - conservatory or marquee??!!oh we would lose deposit but the hotel is around a grand cheaper anyways!

@louweeezzzz I used to go to Llancaiach Fawr as a kid with school :D it's such a beautiful setting for a wedding! Whichever one you go with I think your theme will work (good choice btw). We personally steered away from Marquees in case the weather was awful - this is Britain after all! This is going to be totally up to you and H2B I think. xx

@louweeezzzz I dont think it matters were you have it itd all depend on how you would decorate it to fit your theme. Personally i think the marque as it is is a blank canvas so to me you would able to do a lot with it plus youd be saving money so always a winner emoticon x

@accidentallyme it is gorgeous isnt it, downside is they close the 17th century gardens off at night whereas the other place has lovely gardens for me to decoarte with hanging candles off trees etc.h2b wants the hall, I may give him the final say, his eyes lit up when I said I may swap venues lol! as for weather, we love the sound of rain hitting our conservatory and really dont care if it rains or not so thats a good thing emoticon thanks!

@emjleo85 true true, its all about the decoration, and I could do a lot more with a marquee, think I will let llancaiach give me final price and if its above that predicted grand higher, we know its gona come down to a monetary choice then. just hope a marquee isnt too modern! thanks!
