Straight to the point question, hehe.

Just wondered if anyone had ideas of hairstyles that would suit a side tiara?

How to pick a side tiara?

How to know it will suit your dress?

Thanks in advance.x

@dorisleeds I had always thought I would go for a standard tiara, but I had a look through some of the other ladies photos on here and found some lovely hairstyles with side tiaras. One particular haristyle I have seen that seems to suit a side tiara is a loose side bun like in the pic attached. I think if you put the side tiara on the opposite side to the bun it will balance out nicely. In terms of picking a tiara and knowing if it will suit your dress, I'm going to book a fitting at my bridal shop (who also do tiaras and side tiaras) and then get a hair trial done before I go. That way I can try the dress, tiaras and veil all on with the hairstyle and see what goes best. Hope this has helped some xxx

I am still undecided about them. I feelIshould go for a traditional tiara but some of the side ones look more interesting and modern.

I have my hair trial next month- the hairdresser is going to bring a variety of hair pieces for me to try before I look to buy something over the net.

Straight after my hair trial I have an appointment to try my dress on.

Just wondering how you would attach a veil if you had a side tiara/ hairband?

If you like the idea of a side tiara but would like the flexibility of moving it around and sculpting it around your hair, then I would suggest a hairvine. I'm having a hairvine as it can go anywhere in my hair and I don't like tiaras (side or traditional) as I don't feel comfortable wearing hairbands, especially metal ones. You can get some lovely ones. The company I got mine from is a little pricey, but they did say that if it doesn't match my dress then I can take it back! I'm sure it will match my dress tho.

@dorisleeds I'm undecided myself as well. I'll either go for a lose side bun with a side tiara on the other side as @lollyjane said or a half up half down do with a "normal tiara", pics attached. Knowing myself I will change my mind about them about 76 times until the wedding lol x
