What is the best way to store your wedding dress and veil after the wedding?

 im now married and not sure how to store things in the long run

 i think you need to purchase a proper wedding dress storage box. They stop air and moths etc getting at it. My mum had one and kept it in the loft but something got put on top of it and it split. Her dress is as stiff as a board now lol.
Mind you, those vacuum packages are great, the jml ones, although i dont know whether there's one big enough for a wedding dress ;)
Aparently these have an acid free tissue that stops it from yellowing.

 Hi - yes the acid free tissue paper stops it from going yellow. Anything plastic tends to make it sweat which may end up in mould. Mine's in a normal cardboard box and was stored just as I took it off 28 years ago complete with confetti stuck in and amongst both the dress and the veil. When we opened it recently when we had to clear our loft out for insulation, I fully expected the dye to have come out but it hadn't so I guess I was lucky! A sealed cardboard box is cheaper than a wedding storage box but the storage boxes are very pretty!
